Cross Country- Morning Blogpost

Tauranga Intermediate School Cross Country

On the 24th of June 2013, Tauranga Intermediate School had a cross country. Every member of Tauranga Intermediate had to participate un-less he or she had a medical certificate explaining why they could not participate. The races went in order year 7 girls first then followed by year 7 boys then went the year 8 girls soon after also followed by the year 8 boys. The race I participated in was the year 8 boys, their were roughly 295 kids whom participated in the race. The race started by a loud yell from the deputy principal Mr Scholes, straight after that the big crowd began to move slowly at first in fact so slow I was just about walking. Gradually the crowd picked up speed it was turning into a very slow jog. After about five minutes I was out of the over sized crowd and running past small groups of people. As I sprinted down the hill I remembered to savor my energy for the hills.
