All I want for Christmas- Morning Blogpost
Dear Santa
For Christmas this year is it all right if I have something a little bit different from coal? I mean sure coal is great and all but would be to get me a have a brand new iPad Mini white, that I could play games on, do internet searches with and even get in contact with friends? That way you're not wasting your precious coal that you could be using for your fire place in that chilly North Pole weather.
How about a new drink bottle something that I would use almost everyday, for biking, for running and for every day use that could be useful too.
Why not some new tools of the trade. I use those every day whether or not its for school work, drawing or just plan old mucking around. I think that that'd be nice!
Why not throw in a new beats speaker pill they are so cool, portable so that I can take it anywhere loud so I can blast out my sounds and it comes with lots of different cases so I can make it look cool too. So thanks Santa for taking some time and reading this letter, Merry Christmas.
Sincerely
Matt Crockett

Third World Countries -Morning Blogpost
Third World Country
Meaning:
A country that does not have much money, and that struggles to afford average things eg. cars, ice cream and so on.
North Korea
Meaning:

North Korea
North Korea
Led by Kim Jong e.g. North Korea is a very un-pleasant country to be in. North Korea is a very dull place with no signs of colour, North Korea is also a "Third World Country." As North Korea is sealed off from the rest of the world not many people get to travel there or are not allowed, although not many people would want to travel to North Korea. Known well for their dangerous nuclear bombs the life expectancy in North Korea is also considerably younger (68.8 years). While New Zealanders have a life expectancy of around 80 years.

"A rose by any other name smell as sweet", is a famous quote written by William Shakespeare, William Shakespeare wrote this roughly between 1584 and 1614, the exact time period for this is unknown.
Shakespeare's, well known "Romeo and Juliet", is a fascinating story about two lovers, this is where Juliet mentions William Shakespeare famous quote "A rose by any other name smell as sweet", although this does not make sense to many when explained most will understand, the quote means that what ever you call something in this case the rose it will still be exactly the same thing as it always has been, a rose nothing greater and nothing less.
American comedy, William Shakespeare's famous quote a "A rose by any other name smell as sweet" was made into a classical american comedy, using the exact same name "A rose by any other name smell as sweet", as the title. Although the comedy was titled the exact same as the quote it was actually only very loosely based on the real thing.
In conclusion, Shakespeare's "A rose by any other name smell as sweet" was made a long time ago and is still used today in the odd sentence.

Logging
This year C3 has sorted through a average of 63,013.6986 wood logs, a day. Logging has been around since the beginning of time and humans have discovered many ways of cutting down large trees mostly pine.
People first used large axes and hacked at the wood for hours and hours, sometimes days depending on how many lumber jacks are working and how big the tree is, later humans found that they could use a long saw with two handles and stand on a spring board while they pull and push the saw into the tree. This technique rapidly sped up the progress. Now we use chainsaws and people climb to the top of the tree and chop off all the branches the people that do this are also called lumber jacks.
Transportation of the trees has come a long way from men rolling the trees, to horses towing the trees. Now we use trucks mostly MAN, Volvo and Mack trucks. The logs are now transported to City Centre in Tauranga, most logs come from Hineua forest, from City Centre they are split into groups, groups that will be made into timber, for your deck outside, groups that will be made into common house hold items, like your table etc.
In conclusion the logging industry has come a long way since it first began, we have gone from axes to chainsaws, rolling logs to using large trucks. It is amazing to think that once upon a time your nice sparkling table was a tree covered in bark that was strongly inserted into dirt.

45 Minute Inquiry
In the late medieval times in Scotland a new sport was created this sport was named "Curling". Curling is a no contact sport and requires exactly four players.
Instead of being called a game like most sports curling a game of curling is called a match, in a match there are four players on each team (two if playing a match of mixed doubles.). The winning team is the team with the most houses. A house is a goal in curling and the reason being is that you need to get the curling stone (The small but heavy ball like puck), back to home! Obviously since this sport is played on ice, curling is most popular in Canada.
You only need very basic things to play curling other than the curling broom and curling stone these can easily be replaced by something as simple as a broom and a tennis ball, you also need long pants and a jacket plus some shoes with slider bottoms (slider bottoms are shoes that have a slippery bottom surface meaning you have full control and can also slide over to the curling stone with ease).
Curling has a history which goes way back to medieval times in Scotland, curling is also a well known sport in many countries that often have snow fall in winter time! In one of the Beatles music videos "Help!" they show a scene of a group of people curling!
In conclusion curling is a sport created a long time ago in Scotland, it was officially introduced to the olympics in 1992, and uses many sporting words that are not in many other sports, you only have to use very basic tools and can always improvise with other house hold equipment, curling has been around for a very long time and has a history that veers right back to medieval times.
