The horn sounded indicating the start of the 12 Hour Relay, chaos began as the kids began running. Totara was in the lead with Rimu following closely in behind, 3rd place was Kauri. Everyone was cheering them on there teams hoping that they would win. All of the sudden there was a bang, then another and another the bangs kept getting louder and louder startled faces wildly looked around trying to find the horrible racket, as the bang got louder the ground began to shake harder and harder so hard that Tawa's tent fell over toppling over there table of food, sweets and water. Many kids fell over in the horror. The banging was so loud now people were covering there ears, Mr. Diver felt the ground begin rumbling underneath him he stood out of his chair but it was to late a large crack had forced it's way into the ground around him, he began to run forward trying to escape terror unveiling around him, he jumped trying to leap over the 1 meter wide crack but just jumped to short he began plummeting throw the crack there was a large "THUD" then a groan, a few teachers rushed over to help him hurtling a rope down for Mr Diver to climb up.

Drug Investigation
This term we have had our Life Education sessions. One of the topics we learn’t about were drugs. Everyone in our class has made a presentation about one individual drug so that we can extend our knowledge. I made my presentation to a class member and they have given me feedback about my presentation below.
Success Criteria
-Confidence.
-Their knowledge is genuine.
-Information is in their own words.
-No reading of the page, not too much text.
- Images match content.
-Visually appealing.
-Not too long or short.
that was really good I liked how you started with a quiz and finished off with a normal presentation.

Letter To Mr Diver- Morning Blogpost
Dear Mr Diver
I think Tauranga Intermediate school is a great intermediate school but there are a few not so good things about T.I.S in this letter I will tell you about problems such as the rock climbing wall and the car parks
T.I.S, for starters I think that you need more and harder rock climbing walls. The Rock climbing walls a currently far to easy, if you had harder rock walls kids would find it more of a challenge and don't we love a challenge at Tauranga Intermediate School! Also there a not nearly enough car parks. Do you not want more people to come in and look at our school? With more car parks T.I.S would be able to obtain more cars and be able to have more visitors coming in all at the same time!
Sincerely
Matt Crockett

Give Advice- Morning Blopost
The Scene:
I found out my two friends smoke. I'm only 13. I don't know what to do. I am really confused please help.
Give Advice.
Advice:
Smoking is extremely addicting for some people and some people can actually get a urge to smoke. 13 is a very young age to smoke especially when the legal age to be able to smoke is 13, try to talk to your friends about what they are doing and tell your mum, dad or a older person whom could possibly give you advice. Make sure you don't get involved with your friends bad habit, as this could lead to you getting addicted. Smoking is also incredibly bad for your health and while your body is still growing it can be very dangerous to let things like nicotine and tobacco get inside of you and these things can cause major health problems in later life, it can also lower your life expectancy immensely. What you should do is tell an older person eg. a sibling, parent or caregiver, hopefully they will give you the right advice and possibly be able to help get your friends to stop smoking.

NZ Drug Statistics- Morning Blogpost
In 2008 there were only 680 recorded offenses involving selling, giving, supplying, administering and dealing cannabis plants, this went up even higher in 2009 launching to a total amount of roughly 980 offenses that involved cannabis plants. Luckily this went down in the year 2010 dropping back down to about 740 offenses, sadly this went back up and kept going up and in 2012 reached a whopping total of 1,750 offences.
