As we cued up in line, I could taste the thick bitter smoke, I inhaled it through my lungs,
"When will it be over?" I heard my little brother ask
"Soon- Sammy... Soon," he replied in a surprisingly soft voice. I could hear my mother coughing, it was the fumes that were starting to get to her. Our old VW slowly crawled along the road, creaking and moaning as it went. My mother had stopped coughing now, and was trying to cheer my little brother Sam up,
"I spy in my little eye something that starts with, "G" she said in a warm voice, there was a long moment of silence,
"GRASS!" he shouted, my mum smiled they kept playing this game for a little while mean while I focused on the large pipes sticking out of the ground pumping out large thick clumps of smoke. The elderly man in the car next to us was beginning to cough I heard that croaky, hoarse cough that old people get, I saw him pick up his water bottle, the water in his bottle wasn't the normal "Crystal Clear" so called water that we used to have it had large clumps of dirt in it, this reminded me there was no clean water left in our small town. The large Volvo truck in front of us was letting out a real racket so loud, it could have been mistaken for a rocket taking off.
"BANG!!!" A massive bomb went off from behind me the alarms immediately sounded, the man in the car behind ours had such a large fright he banged his head into the steering wheel I could now see him clutching his bleeding head his wife leaning over looking with concern. Some of the cars that were near the explosion were now on fire a large bright fire I knew that it was just going to be seconds away till the fire found the petrol, there it was the fire had found it another explosion, more pollution, another unneeded death. I could feel another explosion even further away from us but still another explosion.

It was really interesting Matt, you write a lot and it was really well written. There was a few spots where the sentence carried on and you should have put in a comma but other then that it was really good.
